Karine Aigner (USA) documents the annual hunting competitions in Texas, USA.
A furrier selects animals with the most pristine pelts and least amount of gunshot damage. Predator-killing contests in Texas are traditionally held in winter, when the fur of the animals is thick and full.
Despite the huge numbers of bobcats and coyotes shot in these contests, there are no studies to show that either species is threatened in Texas.
