Bring the children along for a fun, interactive session to learn all about some of natural history’s greats. From fossil hunter, Mary Anning to the world’s most famous biologist, Charles Darwin.
Bring your children along to learn all about legendary fossil hunter Mary Anning and the incredible ancient reptiles she discovered on the Dorset coast.
We’ll explore her amazing finds in this fun, interactive session that’s perfect for getting children excited about fossils.
Little ones will get a chance to see Mary Anning’s very own notes and drawings from our archive, and learn some fossil hunting techniques of their own.

Visiting information
- All children need to have an adult with them, however, we kindly ask that each family be accompanied by only one adult during the workshop for the best possible event experience.
- This event is just for our Members.
- Unfortunately, we can’t give refunds or exchanges.
- This event is best suited for ages 6-9 but all ages are welcome.
- We’ll send an email with more information the week of the event to help you prepare for your visit.
