Embroidery Workshop
Take inspiration from our galleries and discover the beautiful art of embroidery with London’s premier embroidery house Hand & Lock.
Join us to celebrate London Craft Week as we travel through time and space to embroider a star. Try your hand at contemporary goldwork and couture beading in our new creative workshop with experts Hand & Lock.
This workshop, which is suitable for all abilities, takes traditional techniques and warps them into a colourful, unconventional design. Learn the techniques then apply them how you choose, with complete creative freedom over your star creation. By the end of it, you’ll each have your own unique supernova to take home.
Guided by Hand & Lock tutors, you’ll learn embroidery techniques used in London, Paris and New York couture houses and seen on the catwalk.
About Hand & Lock
Founded in 1767, Hand & Lock are the oldest embellishment atelier in Britain. They have more than 250 years of experience providing embellishment services to the Royal Family, top European design houses, the military and Savile Row.
Join them for special nature-inspired embroidery workshops where you’ll create beautiful designs to take home with you and learn skills to last a lifetime.
