Awards and prizes

Michael 'Nick' Nichols, winner of Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2014, says: 'I've been doing this for 38 years. I have published many books. But this is a pretty good moment for me. This is the most spectacular award for a wildlife photographer. I was properly stoked.'

Following the most recent awards ceremony, Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2015 winner Don Gutoski spoke of his achievement: 'This has been a humbling experience, to see my photo so honoured among such a diverse and creative selection of photographs. I feel the award also carries an element of responsibility, to heighten awareness of environmental issues, such as climate change. This has been an experience I will always treasure.'
