Volcanoes and Earthquakes gallery closure

Volcanoes and Earthquakes will be closed 3-6 February to do some essential updates. To see how Earth has been shaped by natural forces, visit Restless Surface on the same level.

Birds gallery refurbishment

To ease congestion, we are moving specimens and cases and creating new displays in the Birds gallery. The gallery is open and refurbishments should be completed by spring 2015.

The transformed gallery will continue to showcase favourites such as the dodo and Archaeopteryx models and the historic hummingbird cabinet.
