Youth Worker Toolkit

Want to engage young people with the nature on their doorsteps, but don't know how? Then this toolkit is for you.

Our Youth Worker Toolkit (PDF 9MB) details activities and ideas that you can use with young people to explore nature in cities.

Designed so that no prior knowledge about nature is required, it has been developed in collaboration with The Prince's Trust, Voyage Youth and other regional partners.

Sections include:

  • Warm-ups and icebreakers
  • Main activities, from wide games and den-making to exploring local wildlife
  • Mindfulness activities
  • Useful and interesting information on common, easy to find urban nature species

Each activity can be used independently from the others and is adaptable for your young people and the time, space and resources you have available.
