Our fundraising promise

The Natural History Museum is registered with the Fundraising Regulator, an independent body that sets standards for charitable fundraising. Being registered with the Regulator means we pledge to stand by its Fundraising Promise and the standards it sets out.

Our supporters are at the heart of all that we do. With your help, we deliver projects that advance scientific knowledge and connect people to nature. This promise is our commitment to ensuring that supporting us is a great experience and that our fundraising methods are of the highest standard - always legal, honest, open and respectful.

How to make a fundraising complaint

We hope we will never give you cause to make a fundraising complaint. However, if you would like to contact us, we promise we will always take your complaint seriously, and treat you politely and fairly.

Once we receive your complaint, we promise to contact you within five working days. If your complaint is more complex, we will be in touch to let you know how long we think the investigation will take.

If you aren't satisfied with our response

If you are not satisfied with our response, please let us know and we will escalate your complaint to a member of senior management.

If you are still unhappy, you can also contact the Fundraising Regulator, who will independently investigate your complaint.
