Distribution	Lower Carboniferous (Upper Burlington Limestone), USA.
Type	Holotype: Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard 3053.
Classification and/or Status	Stem group Echinoidea; Proterocidaridae. A species of Perischodomus.
Remarks	Jackson (1912) originally placed this in the genus Lepidechinus because of its simple biserial ambulacra and lack of tubercles on adradial plates. However, it is clear that the ambulacra expand markedly passing to the oral surface and this species fits better in Jackson, R. T. 1912.
