A subgenus of Tylocidaris with:
  • glandiform aboral spines with dense cortical hairs forming a fused secondary overgrowth
  • oral spines with longitudinal flanges.
Distribution
Recent, Bonin Island and Philippines.

Remarks

T. (Tylocidaris) differs in having spines that are ornamented with beaded or thorned ribs.
