Diagnostic Features	A subgenus of Tylocidaris with: glandiform aboral spines with dense cortical hairs forming a fused secondary overgrowth oral spines with longitudinal flanges.
Distribution	Recent, Bonin Island and Philippines.

Species Included	Only the type species.
Classification and/or Status	Cidaroida, Psychocidaridae Monotypic; treated as a subgenus of Tylocidaris
