Diagnosis Pygasterina with
  • Apical disc compact with four genital plates; genital plate 2 extending popsteriorly to separate the posterior genital and ocular plates.
  • Periproct oblique and separated from the apical disc by interambulacral plates; opening above the ambitus
Range Cretaceous (Albian to Maastrichtian) of Europe, the Middle East and Cuba.
Remarks Easily distinguished from Pygasteridae on the basis of its periproct shape and position.
