Summary

I am a Post-doc researcher at the Natural History Museum, London, employed under the project title: "The geological history of water-rich asteroids" – an STFC funded grant for research into the CO, CM, CY and CI carbonaceous chondrites. My current focus is the investigation of alteration conditions on primitive C-type asteroids using hydrothermal alteration experiments to simulate fluid-rock interactions.

In collaboration with the University of Pisa, I also work on giant fine-grained unmelted micrometeorites, derived from the Transantarctic Mountain micrometeorite collection. We use oxygen isotopes to investigate the parent bodies of ultra-hydrated particles. Their high water contents reveal new insights into the activity and diversity of early planetesimals.
