Explore our galleries after hours, swan around our interactive science stations, get up close to real-life animals, take part in hands-on workshops and much more.
From birds to beetles, there’ll be plenty to discover with fun activities for all the family.
- join a Science Station and see what specimens our scientists work on behind the scenes
- examine some wild owl pellets and discover how these amazing birds hunt and eat
- decorate your own zipper pouch in a creative workshop with PomegranART
- get up close and personal with snakes, giant snails, stick insects and more in an ethical animal handling activity
- become a palaeontologist and uncover the bones of flying creatures in our excavation activity
- visit our Magic Memories team for a prehistoric photo with the ancestors of birds: dinosaurs!
- visit our most popular galleries away from the daytime crowds, including the Dinosaur Gallery, Fossil Marine Reptiles, Creepy Crawlies and more!
