Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur and award-winning Apple Original series “Prehistoric Planet” celebrate the incredible stories of these awe-inspiring creatures, their habitats and behaviours
The Natural History Museum today announced a second partnership with award-winning Apple Original series “Prehistoric Planet,” which premieres its second season today, May 22, with an epic five-night event on Apple TV+, in support of the new sell-out exhibition Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur.
Each new episode of “Prehistoric Planet” transports viewers to discover our prehistoric world — and the dinosaurs that roamed it — all in extraordinary detail. Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur marks the first time Patagotitan mayorum has been seen in Europe. Nowhere else in the world can visitors get this close to this breathtaking dinosaur as they walk freely beneath it, touching the cast, and weaving in and out of its legs.
Inviting visitors to meet the colossal titanosaur Patagotitan mayorum, one of the biggest creatures to ever walk the Earth, Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur tells the incredible story of these awe-inspiring creatures, their habitats and behaviours, and how they survived and thrived on Earth, capturing the diversity of our planet millions of years ago. Real fossils of this 101-million-year-old dinosaur are displayed in the gallery alongside interactive displays and games creating a fun, immersive and educational experience. Book your tickets now.
Visitors to the Museum are also invited to a one-of-a-kind dinosaur trail inspired by "Prehistoric Planet" season two from Saturday, 27 May to Sunday, 4 June 2023. More details are available online.
This marks the second collaboration between the Natural History Museum and Apple TV+ following a partnership on the recent exhibition, Dippy Returns: The Nation’s Favourite Dinosaur, which welcomed over one million visitors over the course of its run last year.
The cast of Patagotitan mayorum has been provided to the Museum by the Museo Paleontológico Egidio Feruglio (MEF), Argentina.
